How to Avoid Developing Cataracts
Cataract is a medical condition that causes the eyes’ lens to become cloudy. It is the result of protein deposits accumulating in the lens of our eyes. Aside from meat, having a hearty helping of hardboiled eggs, Italian mushrooms, almonds and sesame seeds also boost eye health as they also have vitamin B.
Don’t forget your seafood.
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in most types of fish, reduce the risk of developing various eye conditions including cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and high eye pressure. Enjoy a serving of salmon, herring, mackerel, and caviar to maintain a clear vision.
Avoid low carbohydrate food.
Low carb meals are the most abundant and affordable in the market. However, they are not healthy. Consuming a lot of these may lead to developing diabetes and unnecessary weight gain. Diabetes is no longer genetic, and can develop from poor eating, so you better keep consumption at a minimum.
Avoid smoking too much or having too much alcohol as they age the body and lead to the development of cataracts and other more severe illnesses.
